Project Coordinator of Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Programme RAMP who was equally the representative of state Commissioner for Rural and Community Development, Alhaji Abbas Sani Abbas, , Malam Sunusi Saleh,discllosed this at a pre contract training and retraining workshop organised for contractors, supervision consultants in the metropolis
He pointed out that the programme with the support of World Bank and other donor outfits, was committed in ensuring infrastructural development across semi urban areas as well as creating accessibility and improving marketability
The Coordinator maintained that the sitting, was aimed at addressing other issues facing rural localities with a view to solving them once and for all
He explained that one of the gatherings mandate, was bringing stakeholders together, safeguarding physical harm, land access and deliberations on ways towards tackling gender based violence in the society
Malam Sinusi Saleh who reiterated present administration’s resolve in fullfiling it obligations to the wider environment, prayed for fruitful deliberations and discourse during the forum
He Moreso enjoined participants to feel free in asking questions on doubtful matters with a view to attaining set goals and objectives
He stressed the need for additional support and cooperation from public spirited individuals and corporate bodies in that direction as according to him Government due to myriad of demands could not please all

While speaking a representative of the outfit Malam Waziri Ali Mala,said their job is to engage contractors to execute projects and to ascertain it’s durability
Other functions according to him include upgrading rural markets provision of other social amenities likewise boosting the livehood of the dwellers in view of their vulnerability
He called on the attendants to develop keen interest during the forum by avoiding lateness and be serious minded as according to him only projects that passed certain criterias will be okayed
