Residents of Sabon Layin Hago community in Beli Ward, Rogo Local Government Area of Kano State, have expressed appreciation to the Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Jibrin Isma’ila Falgore, for providing an electricity transformer to the area.
The intervention followed repeated appeals by residents over the lack of electricity supply in the community for several years.
The councillor representing Beli Ward, Yakubu Bala Hago, disclosed this during an interview with the Information Officer of Rogo Local Government, Abdu Bako Abdullahi.
He said the people of the community were grateful to the Speaker for addressing the long-standing challenge.
“There is no doubt that we are happy and grateful to Almighty Allah and to everyone who contributed towards solving this problem,” he said.
Hago also reaffirmed the support of the people of the area for the Kano State Government under the leadership of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, citing ongoing developmental projects across the state.
The project, which involved the installation of a new transformer, is expected to boost economic activities in the community and other parts of Rogo Local Government Area.
