The Commander General of the Corps, Lt. Col. Aminu Yusuf Abdulmalik (Rtd), disclosed this while presenting the suspects, who were apprehended over alleged involvement in illicit drug activities.
According to him, the operation was launched after residents raised concerns about the growing activities of individuals suspected to be involved in drug-related offences in the area. Acting on credible intelligence, operatives of the Corps carried out a coordinated raid led by the Director of Operations, Habibu Balarabe Madigawa, alongside Sector Commander 1, AWO Kabiru Isyaku.
The operation led to the arrest of four suspects identified as Ahmad Sani, Halifa Umar, Sadiq Umar, and Sulaiman Abubakar.
The Commander General emphasized that the Corps remains steadfast in its mandate to protect communities and tackle criminal activities across the state. He added that collaboration with residents and other security agencies remains key to ensuring that criminal elements are denied safe haven.

The suspects reportedly confessed to their involvement and appealed for leniency, pledging to abandon illegal activities.
Authorities confirmed that the suspects will be handed over to appropriate agencies for further investigation and prosecution.
The Corps also urged members of the public to continue supporting security efforts by providing timely and credible information to help maintain peace and order in Kano State.
