I would like to seize this medium to adore Kano State Legislators for their thrive in taking the bull by the horn during their recent sitting
The singular effort is their zeal towards checkmating the arbitrarily increase of School fees by private institution proprietors statewide
Definitely this situation has been itching the minds and hearts of parents whose children have been patronising such schools on yearly basis hence it should not be allowed to continue like that in view of its disadvantages to one and all
It is crystal clear that most of these parents are living in fear or jittery at the end of the session for not knowing what may be the outcome as it is compulsory that school fees must be Increased
But the step spearheaded by the law makers is highly commendable and a welcome development thus a pat on their back as doing so will by and large lessen the burden on such parents particularly at this period that most households are feeling the burden of shouldering their marital responsibilities in view of how the economy is biting harder
The determination boldly shows how serious the present crop of leaders in Kano legislature are in decreasing some of the pressing challenges facing the greater majority Rightly speaking it is not a gimmick that this part of the country is lagging behind in Western education
But if such effort will be taken by the policy makers things will optimistically improve for good as Kano has always been setting the pace for others to follow or in other terms the beam of search of the wider locality
It is the fervent hope of the concern citizenry that after enacting the law the Government would try its best in matching theory with practise by ensuring full compliance by such schools
Frankly speaking any attempt capable of sabotaging the good initiative should be opposed or thwarted by all means or the saboteurs make to face full anger of the law
