Kano State Government has Launched a Committee in its resolve to control rampant unauthorized erections likewise recovering diverted public properties.
Speaking at the function, the Managing Director of the outfit, Architect Ibrahim Yakubu Adamu said the development was in line with present Administration’s zeal to make Kano first among equals nationwide
He expressed dismay over the proliferation of unregistered private layouts being carved out and sold without prior knowledge and approval of the Agency warning that appropriate legal action will be taken against violators.
The Committee will be chaired by Town Planner Junaid Abdullah while the members Include all the Directors and representatives of private layout companies.
While speaking on behalf of the committee, its Chairman, Tpl Junaid Abdullahi expressed their readiness to work tirelessly in order to ensure the ends justify the means.
He however urged the larger public to always contact ward , District Heads and other stakeholders before purchasing pieces of land to guard against indulging into quagmire
As part of its spelt out mandate, the team visited Yankatsari in Dawakin Kudu LGA, Kumbotso, Gezawa and Nassarawa LGAs to ascertain position of things
