The Executive Secretary Kano State Hospitals Management Board, Dr Mansur Mudi Nagoda have commended Dr. Usman Tijjani the the Chief Medical Director of Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital for uplifting the facility to a maximum standard within the hospital.
According to him, the premier clinical activities have immensely improved, staff where punctual at their duty post, Pharmacy was fully stocked as well as the facility is Clean.
This was made know in a press release issued to media outlets and signed by public relations officer of the board Samira Sulaiman, adding that the Executive Secretary made this know during unscheduled midnight visit to the Hospital for the 2nd phase of the Execution/Management Supervision kicks off.
Dr Mansur Mudi Nagoda noted that, the laboratory and the number of Doctors at Emergency Unit of the facility should be increase while services at the laboratory also be improve, timely and qualitative.
Saying Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital was graded with a B score and called on the CMD not to relent his efforts in making the facility great again.
In related development, Dr. Nagoda expressed dismay over filthy premises, with only 6 staffs on duty at Waziri Shehu Gidado General Hospital in spite a Hospitals had more than 400 staff, saying it is dismay there is no single attendant was visible, emergency over stretched and no utilization of register for free A&E and maternity items.
The ES sacked absentees casuals staff on duty, while serving staff on the duty roasters in all units of the hospital has been issued with Query Letters, CMD and the matron incharge of the maternity has been Summoned to the board for further discussions for the next line of action.
