A popular crossdresser Idris Okuneye known as Bobrisky, yesterday confessed to being a man while speaking to Justice Abimbola Awogboro of a Federal High Court in Lagos.
Earlier to his confession in court on Friday, Bobrisky had ignited controversy over his gender status.
The crossdresser claimed to have undergone different surgeries to become a woman.
At some point, Bobrisky even said he was ready to bear a child.
However, shortly before he was handed a 6-month jail term, Justice Awogboro asked the convict of his sex, and he quickly replied, “I am a man My Lord.”
The judge ruled that the jail-term commenced from March 24, 2024, the day of his arrest.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), on Thursday, April 4, filed six-count of money laundering and abuse of naira against him.
The court, however, dismissed the money laundering charges but convicted him of Naira Abuse after he confessed to the crime.
