While speaking at the gathering the Head of Service Alhaji Abdullahi Musa urged the participants to make the best use of what they acquired in tackling corruption across the society in view of it ills
Alhaji Abdullahi Musa who commended the foresight behind organising the meeting said effective Data usage would greatly help in ensuring speedy development particularly at this period that Governor Abba Kabiru Yusuf is doing his best in taking the state to promise land
The Head of Service said the gathering came at a very crucial time, called for fruitful deliberations that will help in providing the required result
On his part the minor but mighty the Director General of the State Bureau of Statistics ,Dr Aliyu Isah Aliyu, stressed that no progression will be achieved without effective use of Data Base across the larger society
Dr Aliyu Isah Aliyu maintained that the meeting which is first of its kind was called aimed at ensuring improved Data quality and liability, guard against duplication of information, fostering synergy with public and private organisations , providing expertise with advice on the subject matter and above all ensuring sustainable growth
The stastiscian General, explained that within a short span of his leadership in the Bureau he achieved alot courtesy of financial and logistic support of Engineer Abba Kabiru Yusuf
Among the array of success comprise conduct of statistics across mosques and grave yards, staging workshops for staffers to enrich their skills and provision of Computer machines for the Bureau
He added that sooner than later a census will be conducted with a view to knowing the exact number of schools in Kano as well as workforce as approved by the state Governor
The Statistician seized the medium to call on the attendants to make the good use of the lessons in view of their significance so as to become shining examples in the midst of the greater majority
Others who spoke encompassing Commissioner for Higher Education Comrade Yusuf Kofar Mata and Dr Hadiza Galadanci described holding the meeting as educative and a welcome development as the world is now in a digital era
They however emphasized the need for the utilization of Data Base in achieving cardinals plans and objectives in a given environment
