Kano State Governor Engineer Abba Kabir Yusuf says the existing rapport between him and Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso remains peaceful and cordial.
The Governor was speaking against a speculated story making the rounds that the duo have parted ways.
He described the story as baseless, unfounded and nothing to write home about but aimed at causing disharmony and rancour.
He added that he and Engineer Kwankwaso fondly called Madugu by his teeming admirers would remain together like conjoined twins as according to him nothing will separate them.
Engineer Abba Kabir Yusuf maintained that for the past forty years they have been together for better for worse why could rift ensued now he queried.
He reaffirmed that Senator Kwankwaso is his mentor and they will continue as such disabusing the minds of those circulating a fake news that he is romancing with a new splinter Group called “AbbaTsaya da Kafarka” meaning Governor Abba stand on your feet.
The Governor explained that he has no knowledge of those behind forming the splinter faction let along having any relationship with them.
He cautioned journalists against airing unverified and grape vine news stories in view of the dangers of doing.
Engineer Abba Kabir Yusuf stressed the need for people across the greater society to always clarify stories before making them public so as not to stir friction and misunderstanding.
The Governor who said he could have even file suit against those behind the speculation wondered the peddling that for over thirty time his political master had phoned him but he refused to pick the phone describing the story as a blatant lie which according to him does not holds water.
If one could recall for some days now there is rumour being peddled in some quarters that the state Governor and his mentor have been at loggerhead as a result of recent Local Government Polls in which the Political godfather refused to allot some chairmanship seats across the forty four Local Governments to the Governor as he announted them singlehandedly to those he wished best.
This according to the source did not go down well with the wish of the helmsman in the state.
This as they said was the reason behind the squabble between the two.
