Inaugurating the committee, the state Commissioner of Transportation, Engr. Muhammad Ibrahim Diggol said it terms of reference was to conduct general review of the transport policy options in the draft transport policy development and to explore the best possible options to actualize the state vision
The commissioner, added that, the committee is also mandated to identify the missing gaps in the draft transport policy development and to reflect to the realities apart from developing a full transport policy green paper for the state.
The commissioner said the committee is expected to submit its report on the 20th of this month, calling on the members to work assiduously to achieve set goals.
Engr. Diggol posited that the committee has Professor J.A. Falola from Yusuf Maitama Sule University as chairman while professor Adamu Idris Tanko, the Vice Chancellor of Baba Ahmed university to serve as co-chairman.
Other members include Professor Bamidele Badejo, Abdulkadir Muhammad Danbazau from Aliko Dangote University, Bello Abba Yakasai, Dr Aisha Sa’id Bala, Professor Ibrahim Barde as well as the Special Adviser to the Governor on Internally Generated Revenue.
