Dala Local Government has commenced the distribution of 1,200 bags of 25kg rice, provided by Action Governor Abba Gida Gida as part of Ramadan palliative program for the 44 Local Government Areas Statewide.
Speaking at the event, the Chairman of the council , Alhaji Surajo Imam, stated that the rice was shared across the 12 wards of the domain numbering 668 polling units.
He explained that the process was handled by people of competent intergroty with a view to guard against shortchanged
Based on the spelt out plan, each beneficiary received one bag of the staple item
The beneficiaries encompass the following
Local Government Executive Members & Ward Excos (120 people) Option A & B representatives at both LGA and ward levels Drivers’ unions Local government staffers and Security personnel or rather watchmen
Alhaji Surajo Imam who was overwhelmed expressed gratitude to the Governor for the support hoped for additional consignment in view of the vastness of the Area
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Alhaji Uwaisu Maiturare appreciated the kind gesture and prayed for the success of the Governments at both the state and Local level.
