I wonder how Malam Garba Shehu in his new book praised former president Muhammad Buhari as if he was the best ever president in this country
Although I respect Malam Garba Shehu as one of the brilliant journalists in this part of the country in view of his talents but the way he eulogized his former master was quite unbecoming
Although one may say he was doing his job as a former spokesman or rather mouthpiece who was always with him but this is not introducing him before a gathering but rather a printed document that would be read by the greater majority hence one has to be specific and straight to the point
Describing Buhari as humble because he ate tuwo or wore ordinary dress did not make him second to none across the country if how people suffered during his eight years draconian administration is anything to go by
Thus in my view point Sir look for something reasonable that you would commend the ex president for executing but not the type of food he ate as it did not tally with the one common man eat on daily basis
For instance nobody could dispute the saying that he himself is disciplined and transparent but the question lies with the members of his cabinet as records have shown how they diverted millions of tax payers money despite the threat he made on assumption that he would fight corrupt tendencies wholly and squarely
He was also known for trusting those he appointed on leadership positions no matter their blunders this was just a drop in a sea of his attributes
But this did not mean that others that ruled the country did not have their own challenges as none of us is a super human being but the way and manner he was regarded by his fans was where the problem lies
There is the need for one and all to avoid showing love and affection to the extreme but always be moderate as we are all error bounds
