Politics in simple terms ,is described as a game of interest and ideology
That’s why during the first and second republics people stood by parties that tallies with their understanding and perception
Thus,people like the late Alhaji Aminu Dantata, Michael Audu Buba,Shehu Shagari,Melford Okilo were with NPC and later NPN which one could describe as rightist
While on the other hand you will see those encompassing late Abubakar Rimi,Aminu Kano, Bala Keffi, Michael Imoudu, Yusuf Bala Usman , Samuel Grace Ikoku on the side of leftist NEPU and PRP
But I wonder how the situation changed in the present dispensation as dribbling has now become the order of the day unlike what obtained during the first two republics when the going was smooth and good
One could imagine that when people like former vice President Atiku Abubakar Nasiru El Rufa’i and David Mark are clamouring for a change in governance, their own children comprising legislators Blessing Onuh and Bello Rufa’i are at present members of the ruling APC
Similarly Adamu Atiku Abubakar is a serving commissioner in Adamawa State Government being steered by PDP which his father quit some few days ago
Although lam apolitical and I wish to remain as such there is the need for the aforementioned big wigs, to commence their agitation right from their immediate environment to show classical example and how serious they are as a wise word says charity begins at home
Definitely there is the need for Politicians to stop playing with the greater majority’s intelligence
