. Reports reaching our table have indicated that bandits threatening the lives and properties of people in some parts of North West and North Central are now fleeing as a result of intensive attack by security forces in the country
This was as a result of the success being recorded in the fight against the bandits just of recent by the forces which led to the killing of some of the king pins of the gangs that have been terrorizing residents of states comprising Zamfara Sokoto, ,Kebbi, Kaduna, Niger, Katsina and some parts of Nasarawa like the notorious and fearsome Begu and Ali Kawaje
Thus the situation put the lives of their accomplices in real danger that’s
why some of them resorted to taking refuge in states encompassing Taraba Adamawa among others
Speaking in an interview the Minister of State in the Ministry for Defence Alhaji Bello Matawlle said this is just the beginning as they are committed to wiping them wherever they are hence called for added support and cooperation from one and all with a view to achieving premium goal
He pointed out that they have redoubled their zeal in that respect through attacking them in their hideouts across forest in cranny areas of the affected states
The Minister who was the immediate past Governor of Zamfara State lauded Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu”s administration over its commitment stressing that nothing is impossible as sooner than later all challenges will be gone by
But despite the frantic effort of the country ‘s security operatives and Government support ,much still need to be done particularly in intelligence sharing as there are up to now reports of acts comprising of collection of ransome,raping coupled with wanton destruction of lives and properties in areas around Tsafe and surrounding suburds in Zamfara and other neighbouring states which quadrupled the discomfort the people have been experiencing for years
