Father of the prime suspect behind the murdering of six children and their mother at Dorayi locality in Kano ,Malam Auwal, has urged the Government to act quickly on the issue
Malam Auwal who made the statement while fielding questions from journalists said this became necessary as according to him elongating the matter , will be a complete waste of time that may generate another unpleasant issue
In his words “The government should act as early as possible on the matter to avoid unwanted delay”
Malam Auwalu cited what happened recently in the case of Maryam Sanda who was accused of killing her husband whose delay in the hearing of her case led to her being pardoned by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu until the protest on the matter was so rife hence the presidency rescinded its decision
He explained that he would not be present at the court when the case will come up for hearing together with his wife the mother of the suspect Umar Auwal unless he was directed by the Government to do so
Malam Auwalu maintained that taking such action will definitely serve as a lesson to others
He thanked the Police over the thorough investigation they have conducted to uncover those behind the heartless act
The Gaffer maintained that he is absolutely sure the suspect was the one behind the killing of his younger sister and her marital partner some months ago at Tudun Yola in the metropolis likewise a baby girl who is also a member of their extended family
If one could recall on Saturday the 17th of this month a gruesome act which shocked the larger residents occurred in Dorayi Quarters of the metropolis as seven members of the same family were mercilessly killed in daylight by unknown persons
But luckily enough,security outfit with the support of the wider public traced three of the accused before they took to their heels
