The attention of the Kano State Government has been drawn to a misleading publication seeking to distort facts surrounding recent political developments in the state.
The publication is not only mischievous but deliberately crafted to misinform the public and create a false narrative around the stability of the present administration.
Governance is neither speculative nor driven by propaganda.
The facts are clear and unambiguous: Commissioners overseeing the most critical and strategic ministries of government remain firmly aligned with His Excellency, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.
This was made known in a press statement issued and signed by Comrade Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiya Honourable Commissioner Ministry of Information and Internal Affairs
These ministries constitute the engine room of governance, where policies are formulated, resources managed, and development executed.
The Ministries of Education; Health; Works; Finance and Economic Planning; Planning and Budget; Information and Internal Affairs; Justice; Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs; Agriculture; Water Resources; Environment and Climate Change; Transport; Power and Renewable Energy; Housing Development; Rural and Community Development; as well as Procurement and Monitoring, remain fully under the leadership, direction, and authority of the Governor.
These institutions represent the true levers of government. They are the centers where decisions are taken and translated into tangible outcomes for the people of Kano State.
It must be clearly stated that power is not diminished when these key institutions remain intact, governance is not disrupted when the machinery of government is stable, and authority is not lost through political speculation.
Government business continues uninterrupted: policies are being implemented, projects are progressing, the civil service remains aligned, and the State Executive Council continues to function effectively as the highest policy-making body.
Those celebrating imagined victories should understand that headlines do not equate to authority. While political drama may attract attention, governance is anchored on structure, legality, and institutional control—and all three remain firmly in the hands of His Excellency, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.
This administration remains focused, resolute, and fully committed to delivering its mandate. It will not be distracted, weakened, or compelled to negotiate its legitimacy.
The Governor continues to govern strategically and effectively. The sooner detractors acknowledge this reality, the better it will be for constructive public discourse and the collective progress of Kano State.
