Recent decamping of Kano State Governor Engineer Abba Kabir Yusuf from NNPP to APC has been drawing divergent views from across the larger locality
While to some they described it as a good omen as in politics there is no permanent enemy but interest to others is the opposite
In an interview with an opposition figure in Kano, Alhaji Hamisu Danwawu who happens to be the Chairman of Gauta Political Group, he beamed that the action of the Governor was not a political miscalculation as some people may think but according to him a step in the right direction
He pointed out that as far as the game of politics is concerned there is nothing like a mistake hence the Governor according to him took the right decision as politics is a game of interest
Alhaji Hamisu Danwawu said”Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf ‘s switching to the ruling APC was a child of necessity going by the internal wrangling in his party the NNPP thus he has no option rather than to migrate to another party hence he chose APC”
Alhaji Hamisu Danwawu who is now a faithful of the opposition ADC, expressed optimism that the party is as good as clinching 2027 polls despite the fact that it has nothing on ground
He is of the opinion that former vice President Atiku Abubakar will most likely be the flag bearer of the ADC in view of his overwhelming popularity and his running mate will either be Peter Obi,Rotimi Amaechi or Governor Seyi Makinde provided he ditched to the ADC
Digressing to Adamawa State politics he said Senator Aishatu Binani who recently pitched tent with the ADC is as good as winning the Governor’s seat during next year’s election if given the ticket if her popularity is anything to go by and how the state Governor Ahmadu Fintiri is losing ground
Alhaji Hamisu Danwawu decried how people are finding it so hard to feed members of their households stressing the need for the Government to readjust
He moreover expressed concern over how the ICPC and EFCC were being used to intimidate or witch hunt political adversaries which he said differed from its real set out goals of uncovering those that looted public funds
