Ramadan teaches us to mind our own souls.
Spying on others is not curiosity —
it is a door to sin.
Searching for people’s faults,
following private matters,
exposing what Allah concealed —
This hardens the heart.
Allah says:
وَلَا تَجَسَّسُوا
“And do not spy.”
(Al-Ḥujurāt 49:12)
The Prophet ﷺ said:
*وَلَا تَجَسَّسُوا وَلَا تَحَسَّسُوا*
_“Do not spy on one another, and do not seek out one another’s faults.”_
— Sahih al-Bukhari & Sahih Muslim
If Allah has covered someone,
do not uncover them.
Ramadan is a month of self-correction,
not fault-finding.
