The 12th Edition of inter faculty Sports Competition of Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology Wudil (ADUSTECH), was more than just a contest for medals; but a platform for holistic de elopement, teamwork, fostering physical fitness and resilience among students.
The Vice Chancellor of Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology, Prof. Musa Tukur Yakasai represented by Prof. Ado Muntari Bichi deputy Vice Chancellor Academic, declared the competition opened at the school football pitch.
Prof. Bichi emphasized the importance of the competition in showcasing students talents beyond the classroom. He also highlighted the schools commitment to identifying and nurturing sporting potentials among students fostering their overall development.
“The purpose of organizing the competition is to show to the world that as a university of science and technology they are not relenting on the field of sporting activities”, he said.
The faculty of Engineering defeated faculty of computing and mathematic science by two goals to nil ( 2 – 0 ).
The competition saw faculty of Agric & Agric Technology, Faculty of Science, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Maths and computing science and faculty of science and technology education as well as Faculty of Earth and Environmental science competing in nine different sporting activities such as Football, Basketball, Volleyball and Beach volleyball.
The rest are badminton, Tennis, table tennis and Scramble, Chess and athletics.
