The Kano State Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Hajia Aisha Lawan Saji Rano, has called on the people of Kano and Katsina states to support the re-election bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State and his Katsina counterpart, Malam Umaru Dikko Radda, in the 2027 general elections.
The commissioner made the call when she received a delegation from Katsina State led by the Special Adviser on Tourism and Reorientation, Alhaji Isah Muhammad Musa, who paid her a courtesy visit at her office.
The visit was aimed at sharing experiences and exchanging ideas on the establishment of the newly created culture and reorientation agency in Katsina State.
Hajia Aisha said the return of President Tinubu, Governor Yusuf, Governor Radda and other candidates contesting under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) would pave the way for more development projects, unity and peace across the country.
She noted that the achievements recorded by the three leaders were indications of their commitment to improving the lives of citizens, adding that they deserved another term in office to continue their development efforts.
The commissioner also highlighted the similarities between the administrations of the Kano and Katsina governors, saying they share common goals in implementing programmes and projects aimed at improving the wellbeing of the people.
“By visiting Kano to learn about the establishment of an agency shows that both states have common goals and concerns towards preserving their cultural heritage, promoting tourism and strengthening their cordial relationship,” she said.
She added that Kano State remains rich in historical heritage and traditional innovations, which have attracted recognition and appreciation from across Europe, Asia and Africa.
