The Hisba Commander General Sheikh Aminuddeen Ibrahim Daurawa has said the Kano Police Command handed over 38 casual sex workers to Hisba Board for rehabilitation.
The Commander General disclosed this today while receiving Hisba S/Gari local government of Kaduna State in his office.
The Commander General expressed delight for the visit and commended the local government Chairman Engineer Muhammad Usman for establishing Hisba structure in the local government despite the challenges faced from the non Muslims residents in the area.
While speaking on the commercial sex workers, Sheikh Aminuddeen Daurawa said, out of 38 casual sex workers some were recorded pregnants, some with illegitimate children and some diagnosed HIV positive.
He mentioned the history of Hisba which established in 2003 and achieved in mass wedding programme, conflicts resolutions, counseling spouses, restriction of intoxicants supply and above all enjoining what is good and forbidden what is bad.
Sheikh Aminuddeen Daurawa pointed out the gains of mass wedding programme which are supporting the less privileges in giving out their daughters to marriage, protecting both the spouses against committing fornication and having unwanted children.
In his remark, the Chairman of Sabon Gari local government Mal. Abubakar Auwal Adam said they are for study visit to Hisba Kano Command on how it performed mass wedding programme.
