Leadership of Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology Wudil says it would continue to accord security of lives and welfare of Students the priority it deserves.
This was contained in a statement made available to media outlets courtesy of the Deputy Registrar Information of the Institution Malam Abdullahi Sabo Nayaya.
The development followed a video footage that gone viral in social media which showed an Academic punishing some students in a lecture hall which was carried by some media organizations.
The statement added that the lecturer involved had since been suspended to curtail the situation and the issue relayed to Senior Staff Committee for additional disciplinary measures aimed at ensuring normalcy prevails across the institution.
The statement however assured parents and guardians of the management ‘s unflinching resolve in boosting conducive atmosphere for teaching and learning in the school with a view to sustaining its prime position among higher institutions of learning not only in Kano alone but rather the country as a whole.
The statement which stated that nobody regardless of his position or rank will be accorded preferential treatment in the University added that under no circumstances anyone that breaks the law will go hence vowed to treat all cases equally no matter whose ox is gored as according to the statement action were usually taken on offenders with a view to serving as deterrent to others
