The two-day meeting, which began on Tuesday was held in Abuja. It focused on reviewing the final report of the Independent Investigative Panel on allegations of corruption, abuse of power, torture, and other forms of inhumane treatment within the Nigerian Correctional Service.
The forum brought together Attorneys-General and Commissioners for Justice from the 36 states, alongside key stakeholders in the justice sector, to deliberate on ways to strengthen accountability, transparency, and due process in correctional administration.
This was made known in a press release issued and signed by Najib Lawan Danbazau Public Relations Officer of the Ministry.
Speaking at the end of the engagement, Maude said the outcomes of the deliberations would significantly support ongoing reforms in the justice sector.
