Fierce rivalry involving the two main teams in English Football history, will be reignited this evening by 5 30 Nigeria’s local time as Liverpool trade tackles Manchester United at Anfield Stadium Liverpool city.
Thus for the home side who will be playing before their fanatical supporters they would do anything practical with a view to emerging victorious as winning the game will surely improve their standing on the log hence widen their gap with defending champions Manchester City who yesterday played a disappointing two all draw against Crystal Palace at Etihad
Thus, emerging winners will by no means propel the Liverpool Giants otherwise called the Reds in their quest to lift their twenty first premier trophy so as to match the much envied record of their rivals
On the other hand, their opponents Manchester United who are facing immense pressure going by the position they found themselves since gaffer Sir Alex Ferguson left, are also direly in need of the vital points if not for anything to appease their teeming fans who have been enduring the woeful display of the club hence becoming laughing stocks among their counterparts of other teams.
Despite the fact that most soccer pundits will predict a straight win for the home side going by their spectacular showing in the league at present and the lack lustre performance of the Red Devils as Manchester were called , but anything can happen as the Old Trafford team usually rise to occasion when it mattered most especially as the encounter is coming at this critical moment that they have been eliminated from the money spinning Champions League and as such have flex their muscles so as to win a ticket for next year’s event
But the outcome of the fierce encounter will depend largely on the home work of the Tacticians of the two clubs Jorgen Klopp and his guest Erik Ten Hag whose days at the clubs are said to be numbered due to the team’s dismal outings so far and as widely believe by all and sundry a repeat of last year’s seven zero mauling by his opponents will outrightly sent him out.
The match which will be officiated by Micheal Oliver, is expected to be watched by hundreds of football lovers across parts of the world.
