Isyaku Ibrahim
It was disheartening the condemnation made by Bolaji Douglas on the recent invitation extended to Ahmed Musa by Super Eagles Coach Eric Chelle for Nigeria’s upcoming duels’ towards forthcoming world Cup qualification
Honestly speaking , from what I understood the utterances were done out of envy and jealousy clearly done aimed at discouraging the player against putting his all when the training commences
To say the truth Ahmed Musa regardless of being the Skipper of the Super Eagles is a complete player who is far above the so called invited professionals in view of his talent , exposure and good football artistry
He is a star that can deliver when the chips are down
Thus as Douglas said it is better to give the upcoming generation a chance rather than calling him is just a waste of time was laughable , baseless and unfounded
This is certain if one could go through his effort at present with Kano Pillars
From my perception Douglas is not a coach based on this he cannot rate how good a player is let along describing his invitation as nothing to write home about
To this end he should allow the selectors to do their work rather than interfering in that respect
If one could recall, the Super Eagles Coach purposely came to Kano last week when Pillars held Rangers and gave a good assessment of the Super Eagles Captain competency hence the invitation lodged
if that is so why could an outsider put a question mark on that does it mean he knows better than the rest or he can dictate or determine who is to be invited or not
knowledgeably Bolaji Douglas although he captained defunct BCC Lions of Gboko, was not a Coach and he would never be in that regard in that order, he should allow the player sigh of relief in the interest of peace, togetherness ,justice and understanding
Sincerely speaking he is not the only individual among the almost two hundred million Nigerians that knows better thus he should try to keep mute to save his dignity and esteem
But on the other way round if he is seeking for a job in the Glass House he should write straight to NFF chairman Ibrahim Gusau to look for a vacant seat that tallies with his qualification being a university graduate which lam of the firm believe that the Football Boss will willingly do so as a result of his kindness
I rest my points
