Better Living and Brother hood Foundation otherwise known as BL FOUNDATION has presented Sanitary Pads to Students of GGASS Dawakin Tofa.
The initiative called BL PAD ME programme ,was inaugurated on the 16th of June this year, at GGSS Sharada with 250 students by its Chairman Board of Trustees Alhaji Adamu Mukhtar Unguwar Gini
He added that the project was championed aimed at assisting Students of Girls Secondary Schools from contracting infectious diseases due to non personal hygiene during period (menses)
GGASS Dawakin Tofa was the second school that benefited from the programme courtesy of the Foundation
Presenting the items, the secretary of the Foundation, Malam Ibrahim Ammani said the programme will continue in all the nooks and crannies of the state with a view to attaining their set mandate of providing 5000 sanitary pads to Students across the state
He pointed out that the sanitary pads were provided out of the contribution being made by fellow members of the Foundation
Speaking ,the Coordinator of the programme,Malama Sadiya Ahmed,called on the beneficiaries to make the best use of what they learnt during the gathering and above all to use the sanitary pads for prevention against infections
In another development, the Principal of GGAS Dawakin Tofa has praised BL Foundation over its giant stride and called on others to emulate the worthy example particularly at this time of economic hardship
At least sixty students and forty others from the larger community in Dawakin Tofa benefited from the laudable scheme
