Kano State Head of Civil Service, Alhaji Abdullahi Musa, has charged workers of the ministry of Information to redouble effort in discharging their spelt out functions
He gave the admonition while interacting with staffers of the ministry.
Abdullahi Musa stated that the purpose of the meeting was to discuss crucial issues that will improve service delivery.
He said the outfit is playing a vital role in disseminating crucial information and shaping public opinion aimed at providing a linkage between government and the governed hence deepening Democratic governance and above all moulding dedicated workers that became reputable journalists and broadcasters at one time or the other
He however called on current staffers to sit up in observing their functions so as to support present administration in attaining its mandate.
He commended the Commissioner of the outfit Baba Halilu Dantiye, for his commitment to revive the ministry so as to return it to where it belongs in history
Abdullahi Musa emphasized the importance of punctuality and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and being active, initiative, and innovative.
The Head of Service added that all staff complaints to the office should be properly channeled through the admin and general service department of the ministry which will afterall be forwarded to the the Head of Civil Service for appropriate action.
He announced that the office will produce a template that will guide wirkers about any policy or directives regarding their duties.
In her remarks, the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Hajiya Hafsat Iliyasu Aliyu, thanked the visitor for his diligence, which was aimed at gingering the workers to perform their duties effectively and efficiently and promised to ensure strict compliance with the rules and regulations of the service.
During the visit, a committee was formed to monitor the level of compliance regarding punctuality, cleanliness, and other relevant issues and relay it to the office for appropriate action.
