The final of under thirteen Bundesliga Youth Competition was held in Kaduna last week
The final was played between Athletic Football Academy Kaduna versus Kuso Boys Football Academy all based in Kaduna
The match ended three zero in favour of Athletic Football Academy hence lifted the under thirteen youth trophy for the first time
About twenty four youth teams participated in the event which started in August last year
The Competition drew the attention of a lot of football lovers within Kaduna and its environ.
Ex footballers that played in Nigeria’s Premier League and those that plied their trades beyond the country were among those that watched the final event that took place at Secret Heart playing ground situated at Police Barracks Kaduna.
The guests were among those that presented prizes won at the final encounter.
Athletic Academy Football Club that emerged victorious at the conclusion of the tournament received the giant trophy and its player Yassir Auwal who emerged the top scorer at the end of the Competition with seven goals and the most valuable player during the event went home with a Boot and Golden Ball.
The runners up Kuso Boys Football Academy received a consolation prize of a trophy
German Bundesliga Competition is gaining root in Kaduna and Northern parts of the country going by how the Competition is enhancing ,love, affection,unity and understanding among youth.
Beside that the Bundesliga event is slowly but steadily becoming ubiquitous or household name across the society.
Mohammed Mohammed DW Hausa correspondent in Kaduna likewise Ambassador of the Bundesliga event by virtue of organizing the tourney said this was not the first such event was staged in Kaduna.
According to him the maiden Competition for youth under the age of thirteen that was held in Kaduna
He explained that he has been organizing the tourney for the past five years but he thought of staging the event for the younger generation as it will serve as morale booster and beside that attract their attention on Bundesliga tournament being played in Germany
He expressed delight over how the youth played an immense role during the Competition describing it as highly admirable but he said there is the need for Bundesliga organizing body DFL and Bundesliga outfit based in Germany to give their contribution as it would help in making the event more popular and beside that boost the Competition in Kaduna and other major cities like Kano and the entire North
He pointed out that in no distant time, arrangement towards the 2024 event will commence and there is much expectation that it would be so glamorous
