An international warrant of arrest was issued by the Court of Appeal, N’Djamena, on June 22, 2026, against Abdoulaye and her alleged accomplice, Fatime Senoussi Mouktar, in connection with the case.
The spokesperson of the Nigeria Police Force, CSP Ani Iniedu, confirmed the arrest and repatriation, stating that Abdoulaye, who is also linked to narcotics trafficking activities in Chad, fled to Nigeria following the incident.
According to him, she was traced and arrested by operatives of INTERPOL NCB Abuja on August 5, 2026, at Railway Quarters in Nasarawa Local Government Area of Kano State, following coordinated intelligence operations.
“On August 14, 2026, the suspect was successfully repatriated to N’Djamena, Chad, through Lomé, Togo, under established bilateral police cooperation arrangements,” Iniedu said.
He added that the operation was conducted by INTERPOL NCB Abuja in close collaboration with INTERPOL NCB N’Djamena to facilitate Abdoulaye’s return to Chad to face the judicial process.
Commending the operation, the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, praised the operatives of INTERPOL NCB Abuja for their professionalism, diligence and effective coordination with their Chadian counterparts.
