Chelsea of London have added Conference League in their cabinet after thrashing Spanish side Real Betis
The team being managed by Enzo Maresca last night whipped the Spanish side Real Betis by four goals to one in a major come back to complete the record hence brought to an end Spanish teams dominance in continental football competitions for years
The Spanish club netted the curtain raiser in the early minutes of the game to put the Londoners in much tension
Betis held the epic encounter until the sixty fifth minutes of the match played at Wroclaw when they fell to the might of the English giants with rain of goals courtesy of Fernendez, Jackson, Sanchez and Caicedo in the added minutes of the tussle.
Thus with the admirable achievement Chelsea have now become the first soccer team to lift all the available trophies in European continental engagements.
This encompasses the Champions League,Europa League Conference League and the defunct European Winners Cup.
What a scintillating effort for the Londoners otherwise called the Blues and a challenge to their shouting distance neighbours Arsenal who are yet to grab a continental trophy in their history.
After the game English international Cole Palmer was voted the man of the match in view of his laborious feat in the energy sapping match that helped his club to win the tie
It would be recalled that the Conference League Kings just last week booked their next year’s Champions League ticket after whacking Nottingham Forest in a hard fought duel by one goal to nil
