The Royal father made the adulation at the annual Award presentation and Launching of the Almanac of Kano branch of Sports Writers Association of Nigeria
The football lover described their profession as attractive and very interesting particularly at this period that the country is at cross road hence people of such character are seriously needed with a. view to calming or dousing the tension
He thumbed up the state chapel over their various initiatives over the years hoping they will keep the flag flying
Speaking similarly the Chairman of the State Football Association, Alhaji Rabiu Sharu Ahlan described football fraternity and sports writers as members of one family stressing that their existing rapport will remain bold ,solid and strong
On his part, the Chairman of the Kano branch of the Outfit, Comrade Zaharaddeen Saleh, described the event as an annual exercise aimed at ensuring the Association stand on its feet and beside that propagating love and affection between the outfit and members of the larger locality
He pointed out that he would continue to do his utmost best in ensuring fellow members inculcate spelt out ethics of the noble profession in their various assignments
Some of the awardees who spoke to journalists shortly after being presented with the gift hailed the union for finding them worthy of the prizes and pledged to redouble effort in that respect so as to win additional presents in the future
Millions of Naira were realised as donations at the ceremony with the lion share coming from Alhaji Rabiu Inuwa Ahlan the leader of Kano Football Association and equally a member of Nigeria Football Federation
