Chairman of Dala Local Government Council Alhaji Suraj Ibrahim Imam has banned Local drum beat called Gangi across the length and breadth of his domain
Alhaji Surajo Ibrahim Imam made the statement shortly after the security meeting of the council
The measures according to him became necessary with a view to ensuring harmonious co existence and security of lives and property
He regretted the rate of thuggery and urban terrorism across some areas which he said is causing sleepless nights for innocent citizens emphasizing that the local council will not tolerate
Alhaji Surajo Ibrahim Imam described the area as home of influential people who made names in the fields of socio economic and political activities likewise a centre for learning stressing that the good name will not be allowed to go astray
He maintained that from now on,such a kind of drum beating remained ban until further notice
This step he said will definitely help in ensuring normalcy across the locality going by how such some people to become so intoxicant hence commit unwanted acts
Alhaji Surajo Ibrahim Imam while sympathizing with the victims of the act particularly the ward Head of Rijiya Biyu whose residence was torched called on the people to live as brothers and sisters as nothing will thrive in a state of socio economic unrest
The Council Chairman thanked the good people of the area as well as security operatives for their support and cooperation to the local council hoping it will be redoubled in that respect
describing the area as the root of socio economic and political development statewide
