Kano State Government has been urged to step up effort in unveiling those behind the killing of a vigilante officer in Ja’en quarters of the metropolis Mukhtar Garba Abubakar alias MaiRangers
The Commander of the Group Alhaji Shehu Muhaammad Rabiu, made the calll while interacting with newsmen
Alhaji Shehu Muhaammad Rabiu who condemned the way and manner in which the volunteer was murdered, expressed delight that the deceased was undoubtedly a martyr as he loss his life while mediating two warring factions in the area
He said the killed officer whose dead created a huge gap in their routine operations, will be remembered for his level of seriousness, honesty, diligence, resoluteness, sacrifice, straight forwardness and above all humility
The Commander who said the dastardly act would not go like that, explained about seven suspects have been arrested in connection with the gruesome murder and investigation is on going
He used the chance to enjoin residents likewise parents to always accord them full support in their mission of complementing the effort of security operatives not providing shield to their children or criminals living in their midst
The Commander maintained that there is no way they would achieve their potentialities without the backing of the greater majority
He however lauded present administration over its zeal in ensuring Kano remains the most peaceful state nationwide
While digressing to his subordinates he charged them to be law abiding and avoid jungle justice as their duty is to apprehend not to punish accused.
