Nigeria Army has refuted stories being speculated across parts of the country of attempted coup plot
A statement by Army mouthpiece Brigadier General Tukur Gusau said the sixteen officers that were arrested and their names withheld , their apprehending have nothing to do with the coup plot but rather due to gross indiscipline and other related offences
Brigadier General Tukur Gusau maintained that the Military will continue to do their utmost in defending the constitution of the country likewise be loyal to president Bola Ahmed Tinubu and above all the integrity of the country
It will be recalled that for some days now there were conflicting stories of attempts to topple the civilian administration of Chief Bola Ahmed Tinubu which according to the rumour halted the usual parade by military and para military outfits during the annual National Day celebration on October first to commemorate the attainment of Nationhood of the country
