The Emir of Kano, Aminu Ado Bayero, has urged Nigerians to remain steadfast in prayers for peace, unity, and economic prosperity, stressing the importance of collective spiritual efforts in addressing the country’s challenges.
The monarch made the call during a special prayer session held at the Emir’s Palace in Nassarawa, Kano.
The gathering drew hundreds of followers of the Qadiriyya Islamic movement under the leadership of Baffa Babba Dan’agundi.
This was made known in a press release issued and signed by Abubakar Balarabe Kofar Naisa Press Secretary to the Emir of Kano.
Speaking at the event, Bayero said the prayers were aimed at seeking divine intervention for Nigeria’s peace, unity, and sustainable economic development.
“This gathering is dedicated to offering prayers for our nation, Nigeria, for lasting peace, unity, and economic growth. We must continue to seek Allah’s intervention in all our affairs,” he said.
The emir also said prayers were offered for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, asking God to grant him wisdom and success in tackling insecurity and stabilising the economy.
“We pray Almighty Allah to assist him, grant him wisdom and good fortune, and enable him to succeed in stabilising the nation’s economy and ending insecurity,” he added.
Bayero further commended Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for his efforts in promoting unity, noting that such efforts require continued public support and prayers.
In his remarks, Dan’agundi, who led the prayers, said the session was organised to mark the period following Ramadan, with a focus on seeking guidance, peace, and prosperity for the country.
The event attracted a large turnout of Qadiriyya faithful united in prayers for national stability, security, and development.
