The Kano State Fire Service said that fire razed two substation transformers at Transmission Company Dan’agundi in Kano Municipal.
The Public Relations Officer of the Kano State Fire Service, Alhaji Saminu Abdullahi confirmed the incident to newsmen.
Abdullahi said we received a distress call at about 04:10 p.m from one Umar that there was a fire outbreak at the Dan’agundi.
We quickly sent a fire vehicle to the scene at about to bring the situation under control.
“TR one with 60 MVA capacity and TR two 60 MVA capacity with one crane caught fire”,the public relations officer said.
Abdullahi said the cause was as a result of technical team working at the site of the transformer.
He said there was no live loss and no one was injured.
