The Executive Chairman of Gwarzo Local Government Area, Dr. Mani Tsoho Gwarzo, has received the newly constructed Fire Service Office donated by former Minister of Works and Housing, Engr. Abdullahi Tijjani Gwarzo.
The facility was formally handed over by a delegation from the former minister’s office led by his Chief of Staff, Alhaji Magaji Lambu, who said all necessary arrangements had been completed for the transfer of the building to the local government for public use.
Speaking during the handover, Dr. Mani described the project as a significant contribution to emergency response and public safety in Gwarzo, saying the new office would strengthen firefighting and rescue operations, as well as enhance the protection of lives and property across the local government area.
He commended Engr. Abdullahi Tijjani Gwarzo for what he described as his continued commitment to projects that improve the welfare of the people, assuring that the council would ensure proper maintenance of the facility to guarantee its long-term use.
The chairman also expressed appreciation to President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for providing what he called an enabling environment for the execution of developmental projects in Gwarzo Local Government Area and other parts of the country.
The Fire Service Office was officially commissioned on Thursday and has commenced operations to provide emergency and firefighting services to residents of the area.
