The Bichi local Government development Association tagged ‘Fitilar Jama’ ar Bichi ‘ has distributed food items worth over one million five hundred thousand Naira (#1.5M) to Orphans and vonurables in the area.
The items includes, Rice, Maize, Millet and separghetti.
According to the Chairman of the association Alhaji Rilwanu Idris Malikawa Garu the gesture was part of the association annual program with aims of assisting less previlleged in the local Government especially in this month of Ramadan.
Alhaji Rilwanu Idris Malikawa Garu said five less previllege people were selected from forty four towns in the local Government area as beneficiaries of the gesture.
Malikawa expressed his appreciation for the commitment and sacrificed by the Executives of the association in taking the items to the respective areas of the beneficiaries.
He commended the well to do and politicians in the area that donated to execute the program.
The Chairman said the association embarked in providing Pop corn to the admitted patients in Bichi General hospital and Bichi correctional centre from fifteen of this Ramadan up to end for the easier breaking of their fasting.
