The Deputy Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo, has commended the Kano State Hisbah Board for its efforts in promoting moral values and combating social vices across the state.
Garo gave the commendation on Monday while receiving members of the board during a courtesy visit to his office.

The deputy governor also assured the board of continued collaboration with Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf in addressing its requests.
Earlier, the Commander-General of the Kano State Hisbah Board, Sheikh Aminu Ibrahim Daurawa, congratulated Garo and noted that the board had always enjoyed his support.

He also prayed for continued unity between the deputy governor and Governor Yusuf for the development of the state.
Daurawa further reminded the state government of some of the board’s demands, including the establishment of a Hisbah training school, salary increment, change of uniforms, construction of a befitting headquarters, provision of additional operational vehicles and increased overhead funding.
