Present administration says it will not condone non payment of dues by Hoteliers
Managing Director of Kano State Tourism Board Dr Tukur Bala Sagagi,made the pronouncement while fielding questions from News men when the Management of the outfit began operation pay your dues across buildings under the Board
He drew their attention on the matter charging proprietors of restaurants, recreational centres, among others to ensure full compliance as nobody will be accorded preferential treatment
He stressed that present administration being a serious minded one will always stand firm so as to ensure prompt compliance He enjoined those dragging legs to have a rethink on the matter in their best interest as according to him Government main concern was adherence.
The Managing Director explained that was why a committee saddled with the term of reference of recovering such funds from debtors was formed.
The Headship posited that the visit across the buildings was to remind them on the issue particularly relating to renewal of license and registration.
He expressed dismay over their refusal to pay the legitimate amount which he described as meagre if compared to the huge they were earning on daily basis saying the culture will not yield the required result especially at this period that the economy is in shamble and the wider public are finding it pretty difficult to survive due to harsh policies of the Federal Government.
The Managing Director however hoped the stakeholders will accord him the necessary support and cooperation so as to attain set mandate as a wise word says United we stand but divided we fall.
