Husband is said to be responsible for the provision of Furnitures, Bedclothes for his Brides in Islam.
The chief Imam of Kiyawa in Ɓagwai local government area, Malam Bilyamin Abubakar stated this while delivering a paper on who suppose to be responsible for the provision of furnitures and Bedclothes among couples in Islam organised by Ɓagwai local branch of Jama’atul Nasril Islam on ways to reduce the cost of marriage in the area.
Malam Bilyamin Abubakar who quoted some verses from the holy Qur’an and Hadith of the holy prophet peace be upon him on the guidelines of marriage in Islam,affirmed that Husband is responsible for the provision of cloth/dresses, accommodation and set of Furnitures to his (intended) bride for marital life.
He advised parents to embrace the teaching of Islam in their marriage procedures and avoid compulsory marriage among couples to minimise matrimonial problems in the society .
In his part the deputy chief Imam of Ɓagwai Juma’at mosque Malam Sani Musa Ɓagwai ,advised Muslim community to embrace easy life style especially in the preparation of marriage between men and women in view of the harsh economic realities facing the society.
The representative of Qadiriyya in the Organisation ,Malam Aminu Yusuf said, the meeting was organised to mobilise people on marriage obligations in Islam and the rejection of cultural inclusion as well as to accommodate meaningful suggestions from the public for future use at the grassroot level.
The Jama’atu Nasril Islam committee in Ɓagwai local government under the chairmanship of the District head of Ɓagwai ,Alhaji Nura Shehu Ahmad ,the Madaki of Bichi has been initiating ways and means to lessen hardship being encountered by both sides of the Grooms and Brides in times of marriage since 2015 which is yielding positive result and whole heartedly being accepted by the people under his domain for the general good of the society.
