The Kano State Ministry of Science and Innovation has organized a screening exercise to select the most outstanding students in science and technology for an upcoming national competition.
The event, held today, December 4, 2024, aligns with the directives of the Federal Ministry of Science and Technology, which conducts annual competitions to identify the best-performing science and technology students from Nigeria’s 774 local government areas.
This was made known by Engr. Aminu Shehu Dan Hassan, Director of Science and Information Innovation of the ministry on Wednesday.
The ministry’s screening process is designed to select the brightest student in Kano State to represent the state at the national level.
Participating students are tested in four core science subjects: Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, and Biology.
The competition draws participants from both public and private secondary schools, underscoring the state’s commitment to nurturing and promoting exceptional talent in science and technology.
By fostering such initiatives, Kano State aims to strengthen its representation on the national stage while inspiring young minds to excel in scientific and technological pursuits.
