Kano State Deputy Governor, Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo, served as Wakili at the wedding Fatiha of Mutawakkil Sani Dawaki Gabasawa on Friday.
The solemnization took place at Usman bin Affan Juma’at Mosque, Gadon Kaya quarters, Kano, in accordance with Islamic rites.
Mutawakkil is the son of the late Sani Dawaki Gabasawa, former District Head of Gabasawa LGA. His bride is Khadija Ibrahim Abdullahi.
A dowry of N200,000 was paid to formalize the union. Family members, friends, and well-wishers from across the state attended and offered prayers for the couple.
Speaking after the ceremony, Garo congratulated both families and prayed for Allah’s blessings on the newlyweds. He urged the couple to uphold love, tolerance, and responsibility in their marriage, describing the institution as sacred.
