Kano State Government has dragged former governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, his wife, Hafsat Umar, Umar Abdullahi Umar and six others to court on eight count charges relating to bribery accusations, embezzlement and diversion of funds among others running into billions of naira.
This was contained in a charged sheet dated 3rd April, 2024 with a 15 prosecution witnesses list attached.
SOLACEBASE reports that other respondents in the suit are Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, Hafsat Umar, Abubakar Bawuro, Umar Abdullahi Umar, Jibrilla Muhammad, Lamash Properties Ltd, Safari Textiles Ltd and Lesage General Enterprises
A copy of the suit filed by the state government counsels, Muhuyi Magaji Rimingado Esq and others indicates that the government is dragging Ganduje and seven others before the court on an eight-count charge concerning dollar bribery allegation, diversion and misappropriation of funds among others running into billions.
