The beauty of Kano politics the largest Democracy in the country is that history always repeats itself an act that made the game so unique or special in the society
Thus ,the present happenings for students of politics and followers of current development is not strange as far as the system is concerned
Definitely,the on going squabble between Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and his political mentor Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso in which they parted ways politically was similar to what occurred during the second Republic between Malam Aminu Kano and Alhaji Mohammed Abubakar Rimi all of blessed memories which compelled the later to ditch the PRP to the NPP
Honestly, political engagements in Kano devoid of sentiments are recurrent decimals in view of how things have been resurfacing similar to what transpired in the past
If one could recall during the second Republic, a wrangling of same nature between Governor Abba Gida Gida and Comrade Aminu Abdulsalam occurred between Governor Muhammad Abubakar Rimi and his Deputy Malam Ibrahim Brilliant Boy Faruk happened which later led to his impeachment by the then State Parliament under Abdullahi Abubakar Karaye and his replacement by Abdu Dawakin Tofa
During the era of Malam Ibrahim Shekarau,a reminiscent situation also occurred between him and his Deputy Engineer Magaji Abdullahi although it did not lead to serving impeachment notice by the state Assembly as to some extent they exercised restraint but it caused serious misunderstanding in the art of governance
A similar situation happened during the first term of Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje which led to the stepping down of his second in command professor Hafiz Abubakar as all available information had shown that he will be sacked by the state law makers
Obviously,what took place on Saturday the twenty eight of March in which Comrade Aminu Abdulsalam tendered his resignation letter is not new as it is a continuation of what has been the case for decades in the umbilical cord of northern politics which made it so admirable and interesting to outsiders hence the name siyasar Kano Sai Kano
