Acting Chairman of State Qur’anic Islamiyya School Management Board Comrade Bala Baba Shu’aibu says he is optimistic Kano contingent will win the 38th Qur’anic Recitation holding in Damaturu Yobe State
Comrade Bala Baba Shu’aibu was speaking in an interface with Newsmen in Damaturu the state capital
He extolled current administration over the superb arrangement made for the event which he described as the best in recent times emphasizing the need for the delegation to reciprocate the gesture by coming home victorious
He noted that as it has been the case during recent competitions this year will not be an exceptional as according to him the State entourage will not be in Yobe for Jamboree but real business
Comrade Bala Baba Shu’aibu expressed delight over the intensive training accorded the participants aimed at facing their opponents with high spirits hoping they would guard against over confidence and panicking but rather be composed and steady before and during the Recitation
He however urged for prayers from the wider citizenry so as to ensure the ends justify the means
The annual competition started some years back at Danfodiyo University Sokoto aimed at awakening the. youngers in learning the science of the Holy Book and since then many students of learning have emerged victorious across parts of the country and hence represented the country at the international event in Saudi Arabia where they gave a good account of themselves beside portraying the the good image of the Nation
A typical example was late Ja’ afar Mahmud Adam who took the world by storm at one of the recent occasions
