Kano State Chairman of Academic Staff Union of Secondary Schools Comrade Usman Abdu Yalo has hailed the rationale behind the over thirty percent allocation to Education sector by present administration in Kano during next year’s budget.
The Chairman was fielding questions in an interview with Newsmen, explained that this was the first time such a huge share was allotted to the field since the creation of the state way back in1967.
Comrade Yalo who prayed the budget will be fully implemented however enjoined fellow teachers to remain committed in observing their jobs despite the challenges they have been facing here and there.
The Chairman recalled with nostalgia a phrase that says Teachers reward lies in the heaven ,said based on the saying they should exercise patience and remain tenacious in that respect aimed at ensuring their workload commensurate with their pay.
Digressing to parents as students are on vacation,he enjoined them to be watchful on them so as to guard them against joining bad company.
This he said became necessary in view of the upsurge in moral decadence in the society.
