The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has commenced the distribution of hand luggage and uniforms to intending pilgrims across the state as part of preparations for the forthcoming Hajj exercise.
The Director General of the Board, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim Matawalle, who flagged off the exercise, said the initiative is aimed at ensuring that all intending pilgrims are adequately equipped and well prepared for their spiritual journey.
He called on Hajj centre officers in all Local Government Areas to effectively coordinate the distribution process to ensure that pilgrims at the grassroots receive their items in an orderly and timely manner.
Alhaji Matawalle further disclosed that the state has successfully completed the processing and collection of visas for its pilgrims, adding that all necessary arrangements for the Hajj have been concluded.
He explained that sufficient materials have been provided to cater for all registered pilgrims without exception. The items distributed include hand luggage, uniforms for men, wrappers and hijabs for women, as well as Hajj guide books to support pilgrims throughout the exercise.
The Director General urged intending pilgrims to make proper use of the items and maintain them properly.
