Managing Director, Kano State Urban Planning and Development Authority ( KNUPDA), Arc. Ibrahim Yakub Adamu has inaugurated a new one-stop shop for the prompt issuance of building approval.
Performing the event , Arc. Ibrahim said the unit was created in order to ease the process of granting approval by the agency in response to numerous complaints by the general public over unnecessary delays in the formalization of building permit.
He added that other duties of the unit are to revive all pending plans, approvals and responses to the inspection and monitoring team’s activities.
The Managing Director explained that the unit is going to be operating directly and instantly with a view to tackling any issue brought to the outfit without delay.
He charged the unit to work tirelessly considering the importance of the task and congratulated the members on their selection which according to hiim was done purely on merit.
The Head of the Unit, Arc. Bilkisu Muhammad Ibrahim promised to work hard towards ensuring a positive impact while discharging their duties.
The 15-man unit is being chaired by Arc. Bilkisu Muhammad Ibrahim , has Sagir Sani Sha’aibu as secretary.
