Bill for the establishment of Kano State Drugs and Substances Abuse,control, certification and miscellaneous provisions 2023(1445 A.H.) had scaled second reading in the floor of the state House.
Introduced by the Majority Leader and member representing Dala Constituency, Hon. Lawan Hussaini Dala, the bill was sponsored by Alhaji Abdulhamid Abdul Minjibir.
It received series of debates and wide contributions from fellow members
when passed into law it would address the issues of drugs abuse and related substances Statewide
Later, was committed to the Standing Committees on Judiciary, Health and Women Affairs for further Legislative treatment and given eight weeks within which to report back
Similarly the State Government was urged to construct a road from Rurum to Bakin-Fa through Kazaurawa which linked Ghana,Gunduma,Bul and Saya-Saya in Rano and Kibiya Local government areas.
This followed a joint motionly presented before the House by Alhaji Ibrahim Muhd Malami (Rano Constituency) and Alhaji.Garba Shehu Fammar, Deputy Majority Leader (Kibiya Constituency)
The motion which was read by Alhaji.Ibrahim Muhammad Malami dwelt on the importance of the road towards socio economic and political development of the Areas.
The parliament, subsequently agreed and enjoined present administration to do the needful.
